Bournemouth Smashes Visitor Record

New Mind's recently launched website for Bournemouth, www.bournemouth.co.uk, has achieved a record number of unique visitors today. 

New Mind's 'most visited site' record was previously held by www.tallshipsliverpool.co.uk which received 19k unique visitors in a single day but www.bournemouth.co.uk  has now smashed that record, achieving a massive 35k.

The surge in visitor numbers can be attributed to the popularity of this week's Bournemouth Air Festival and the fact that New Mind has managed to secure a no. 1 position in the natural search engine listings for a range of Bournemouth related keywords following the implementation of an extensive optimisation strategy by their Online Marketing team.

New Mind's investment in the new VMware hosting solution also enabled the specification of the virtual server to be boosted with additional processing power and memory to handle the increased traffic during this intense period. (more news on VMware coming up soon....)

Although only just launched, online bookings for July 09 are already up 11% on the previous year.  Based on its success so far, www.bournemouth.co.uk promises to achieve a status as one of the UK's top performing destination websites.
