One North East Awards Three Year Contract

New Mind and IT services partner, Agilisys have been awarded a three year contract to continue delivering their e-business platform, Desti.ne to One North East.

Desti.ne was originally developed in order to allow tourism businesses in the North East of England to exploit the huge potential that the internet provides and to meet the rising challenge of changing customer demand. Desti.ne is a set of tourism management, promotion and fulfillment tools, with product, content and consumer databases at its core.

Desti.ne provides affordable online booking functionality and cost effective routes to market for tourism businesses in the North East region.

The new contract aims to build on the success of the previous three years, during which time Desti.ne has delivered almost £3 million of online bookings and has boosted the marketing reach of the region's businesses.

Earlier this year, One North East launched their new site, www.visitnortheastengland.com, developed in-house using New Mind's Enterprise Content Management System (eCMS), another fundamental component of the region's Desti.ne platform.
