New Mind Site Shortlisted for Travelmole Awards

A site developed by New Mind, www.visitlancashire.com has been shortlisted for this year's Travelmole Web Awards.
New Mind originally developed the website for the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist board (LBTB) back in 2002 and in February 2009 a new site was launched, exploiting a host of innovative new features.

www.visitlancashire.com positions LBTB at the forefront of web technology whilst continuing to deliver the highest quality content. User generated content from a variety of online sources including YouTube can be incorporated with ease by the in-house team. Social Media has proved to be an instant success with visitors actively participating in providing and sharing information in a fast growing online community on their blog, Twitter and Facebook pages. Tabbed views on product pages provide seamless navigation through a wealth of information, images and maps. This is a site where the visitor comes first; depth and quality of content alongside appropriate use of technology create a site that visitors want to use again and again.
The shortlisted entries, voted for by Travelmole susbscribers, will now be judged by an independent panel. The winners will be announced at a lunchtime ceremony on Wednesday June 24 at Canada House, London.
