New Mind have boosted their share of the UK tourism market with the acquisition of a new contract with Lincolnshire this week. The win represents their first tourism destination in the East Midlands region.
The new project involves the implementation of New Mind's Destination Management System, a new Visit Lincolnshire tourism site plus a series of channel sites including one for Cleethorpes, a dedicated golf site and a corporate site for Lincolnshire Tourism.
The visitor economy is vital to Lincolnshire, a destination with plenty to offer to visitors of all ages and interests. New Mind's new Visit Lincolnshire website will promote the city of Lincoln, home to one of Europe's finest buildings, Lincoln Cathedral. The Lincolnshire Wolds, a haven for cyclists and walkers will be featured, as well as the bustling seaside resorts of Skegness and Cleethorpes.
Lincolnshire's decision to select New Mind was based not only on the breadth of functionality provided by the DMS but also on the company's ability to complement their skills by working with a strong network of industry partners. New Mind's self catering module was also a key factor due to the areas prevalence of high quality self catering establishments.
Head of Marketing at Lincolnshire Tourism, Emma Tatlow said: "We are committed to increasing our online marketing activity and gaining market advantage through trading online. We are looking forward to the opportunities that the DMS system will bring to the region."
Director of New Mind, Andy Abram comments "As our first win in the East Midlands, the Lincolnshire contract represents a significant milestone in New Mind's status as a leading supplier of technology to the tourism industry. We are delighted to have been selected by Lincolnshire Tourism and are very much looking forward to working with the team over the next few years to help deliver their online strategy for the area."
Rollout of the new sites will commence in February 2010.
