New Mind is in the process of enhancing their DMS with some innovative new features.

Mobile technology will shortly be an integral part of the DMS product, enabling our clients to provide a multi-channel experience to visitors to our tourism destinations.
New Mind is working with 2ergo, a world-leading provider of convergent communications solutions using mobile, fixed line and internet technologies. The resulting solution will be at the forefront of mobile technology and will be unmatched within the UK tourism market. 2ergo has worked with many leading brands in both the public and private sectors including Thomas Cook, Vodafone and First Choice and last year won the Vodafone Innovation Award for its Rightmove mobile internet portal.
Using a mobile device, visitors will be able to browse a mobile internet portal to plan their perfect trip and will have access to accommodation, attractions and events stored within New Mind's DMS.

New Mind is also working with leading digital communications specialist, Communicator Corp to integrate its email solution into their DMS.
Communicator is a comprehensive email application which will allow New Mind's DMS customers to manage lists, create email campaigns, track open rates, clicks and conversions and provide a full audit trail of every message and campaign sent.
Final testing is currently taking place on the integration with the DMS and New Mind plan to launch a pilot next month after which demonstrations will be organised with clients. Contact your Account Manager for more information.

A project involving Dynamic Mapping is also underway. New Mind's DMS clients will be able to further exploit their location data (Eastings and Northings) to improve the visitor experience.
Visitors will be able to view product search results plotted on an interactive map in order to see the locality and geographical relationship between accommodation providers and attractions. Integration with the Itinerary Planner will allow products already in the itinerary to be viewed or alternatively placed into the Itinerary Planner from the map. Search results can be refined by selecting to view only those products within a particular category ie. self catering accommodation.
Another phenomenon which is here to stay is IPTV and investigations are currently taking place on its application within New Mind's DMS.
Recent statistics indicate that the volume of IPTV subscribers will rise from 14.3 million in 2007 to 63.6 million in 2011. The market will be worth more than $20 billion and Europe will be leading the way. In terms of tourism, IPTV has huge potential.
New Mind is working with The Mersey Partnership, the NWDA and ICDC (The International Centre for Digital Content), an organisation which helps companies to exploit digital technology. The project involves the provision of DMS data and other rich media information to visitors in their hotel via their a digital bedroom browser on their TVs. Consumers will be able to access a menu and click between sections to watch videos or scan listings of attractions and events via New Mind's DMS. The trial will involve an Apple TV box connected to the internet via a broadband connection, initially in 10 rooms in 4 different hotels in Liverpool. ICDC will monitor usage and collect responses to feedback questionnaires during the trial.
