Dynamic Map Functionality Launched

New Mind's innovative new mapping functionality has commenced rollout with two initial implementations on www.visitchester.com and www.visitliverpool.com.Tourism organisations now have the ability to integrate some powerful dynamic mapping technology from Multimap into their destination websites in order to boost the visitor experience.

When searching for attractions, visitors now have the option to plot the results on an interactive map in order to see their geographical relationship. Brief details of each of the products can be displayed within the map view and clusters of products are shown for products in close proximity. Search results can also be filtered or refined by the visitor. For example, if searching for accommodation, the visitor can choose to view only Self Catering establishments on the map. Integration with the Itinerary Planner allows products already placed in the itinerary to be included on a map so that visitors can plan a logical order for their visit.

Visitors can also change the formats of the maps displayed to aerial or bird's eye view and zoom in and out with ease to get a different perspective on the products displayed and their location.
