Tourist Information Centres

As Tourist Information Centres (TICs) play a growing role in the provision of information and the fulfillment of bookings, effective tools to manage, interrogate and sell availability are required. New Mind's DMS is designed to manage the full range of calls, bookings and brochure requests that are received by TICs and Call Centres.

Operators have direct access to the Product Management System enabling them to add value to their services by sourcing suitable products, informing callers of events happening during their stay and providing entire itineraries for their visit. 

User Scenario 1

A visitor arrives in Liverpool from overseas on the May Bank Holiday weekend. He visits the TIC to book accommodation for the 2 nights over the weekend. The TIC assistant obtains the necessary information from the visitor about his accommodation preferences and uses the Enquiry Management Tool to search for accommodation that meets his accommodation criteria. After showing the customer the different accommodation options through the Enquiry Management interface, the visitor chooses to stay at the Hope Street Hotel. The TIC assistant is then able to book the hotel for the May Bank Holiday for 2 nights and obtain confirmation via e-mail, which he is able to print out and give to the visitor as confirmation of booking.

User Scenario 2

A customer calls a TIC in Lancashire to enquire into walking routes in the area. As a consumer record already exists, the TIC captures the information about his walking interest and selects a relevant brochure from the list. A stock of the brochure exists locally so the TIC arranges for immediate local fulfillment by 1st class post.
