Marketing Lancashire Looks Ahead to Refreshed Website

New Mind | tellUs is looking forward to working with longest serving customer, Marketing Lancashire on a brand new responsive website.

The current site, www.visitlancashire.com, created by New Mind | tellUs three years ago, has been subject to continual development.  New Mind | tellUs has once again been appointed to update, refresh and introduce new technologies to the site.  The primary focus will be to increase short breaks to the County, spotlighting the key themes of outdoor activities, food, culture and heritage. Lancashire currently attracts 63 million visitors per year (87% of which are day visits) generating a £3.5 billion spend.  The aim will be to convert more of these day visits to short breaks. 

Lancashire's core brand values including the warmth of its people and its rich in-destination experiences will be emphasised and reflected in the new site.  The area's tourism providers will benefit from improved representation and new commercial opportunities will be introduced whilst enhancing the overall visitor experience.  The site's content and imagery will be dynamically enhanced with relevant blog posts, social media integration and suggested itineraries as well as all of the functional essentials including online booking, event ticketing and calendar, itinerary planner and visitor CRM.

Whether it’s a Smart TV, desktop or handheld device we want to provide users with the optimum experience they expect from a leading destination website, including options to make online accommodation bookings or buy event tickets, the user experience will be one that is social, inspiring and easy to do."

The New Mind | tellUs design team has been galvanised into action following a two day workshop with the Marketing Lancashire team.  The new site will be launched during Autumn 2015.
