Major e-Tourism Project Underway with Destination Staffordshire

The county of Staffordshire will be benefiting from the collective expertise of New Mind | tellUs and NVG following the acquisition of a significant e-tourism project with Destination Staffordshire this month.
Staffordshire is centrally located in the Heart of Britain with great transport links and a full and varied tourism offer. The county boasts an astounding array of world-class attractions, including two of the UK’s top theme parks – Alton Towers Resort and Drayton Manor Park. It has an abundance of history and heritage, featuring the celebrated cities of Lichfield and Stoke-on-Trent with many award-winning visitor centres and museums dedicated to the most famous names in ceramics including Wedgwood, Moorcroft, Spode and Emma Bridgewater.
The stunning Staffordshire Peak District is tailor made for walking, cycling, climbing and pony trekking or visitors can navigate more miles of peaceful canals than any other Shire county. Visitors can also explore some of England's most beautiful gardens, browse bustling shops or enjoy beer tasting in Burton upon Trent, renowned worldwide for its brewing reputation. Staffordshire also includes The National Forest and Cannock Chase, central England's wooded jewel and a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where lovers of the outdoors can enjoy walking, cycling and serious mountain biking.
The project involves the creation of a suite of new websites, the implementation of a sophisticated technology platform and a major data migration exercise. The first priority for Destination Staffordshire is the development of the new bespoke Enjoy Staffordshire website which will promote the county as a whole, with a new corporate channel site, plus a series of individual destination sites being subsequently rolled out to complement the main site including the Visit Stoke and Enjoy South Staffordshire websites. The new Enjoy Staffordshire website will be launched during Spring 2017.
NVG will also be providing their Web in a Box solution for the Staffordsheer Escapes brand enabling the County to promote and sell its popular Thrillhopper multi-attraction pass and fun, thrills, cultural and garden themed short break packages within a new responsive design.
All of the sites will be powered by the New Mind | tellUs e-tourism platform providing Staffordshire County Council with all the tools to drive Destination Staffordshire’s digital strategy forward.
