Visit Eastbourne Makes Significant Investment in New Solution

Existing NVG client, Visit Eastbourne has announced the decision to make a significant investment in the development of a visitor website, eight new channel sites and two new apps this month. 

Following the devastating Pier fire in July 2014, Eastbourne received £2 million in funding in order to attract new visitors.  This funding has been used for various projects across town, from a new signature beachfront restaurant to a seafront sculpture using the molten metal discarded after the fire. 

One such investment is an ambitious new web project which will make a significant contribution to the destination's online promotion, rejuvinating its image and positioning Eastbourne as one of the UK's favourite seaside resorts.

The new fully responsive Visit Eastbourne destination site will feature all the necessary tools to help visitors to plan their perfect holiday or short break.  A series of websites utilising NVG's Web-in-a-Box technology have also been commissioned.  A new promotional platform for all of Eastbourne's Sports Centres, www.sporteastbourne.com, has already been launched and a further seven themed sites will follow shortly:

  • Conference Eastbourne (with online delegate booking)
  • Beachy Head Marathon
  • Beachlife/Eastbourne Extreme festival (free 2 day skating, watersports, music and beach activity event
  • Magnificent Motors (free motoring spectacular including 500 vintage and classic cars, motorbikes and buses)
  • Eastbourne Airbourne (free award-winning international air show in August)
  • Eastbourne Beer Festivals (Spring and Autumn beer and cider festivals)
  • Heritage Eastbourne (Redoubt Fortress and Eastbourne museums)

Eastbourne forms the gateway to the 100 mile South Downs Way and Beachy Head so NVG's new app will help walking enthusiasts to make the most of the destination's favourite trails.  Location based special offers will also be up for grabs via another handy app from NVG.
