A new look for Maldon District entices visitors to experience the area's charm and beauty for themselves following the implementation of NVG's affordable Web-in-a-Box solution.
The new Visit Maldon District website, www.visitmaldondistrict.co.uk provides an abundance of interesting content from across the District to visitors and locals alike, including events, attractions and accommodation, as well as information on its wonderful natural environment and heritage. Potential visitors from around the world are provided with all the reasons they need to visit the Maldon District, steeped in history and full of exciting surprises.
The website's design incorporates great photography too and is designed with the mobile visitor in mind, providing an optimum browsing experience on all devices from smart phones to tablets.
In the future the site will also offer online shopping and bookings for local products and events, as well as the Maldon Splash Park and Beach Huts, and the forthcoming Pirates Bay Adventure Golf. The look and feel of the site reflects the character and appeal of the Maldon District and has drawn from the recent Sense of Place project to create a unique and exciting visitor experience. VisitMaldonDistrct.co.uk also links with the Tourist Information Centre’s social media pages @MaldonTIC on twitter and Visit Maldon District on Facebook.
Cllr Penny Channer, Chairman of the Planning & Licensing Committee, said “The new Visit Maldon District website site is a wonderful resource for local people and visitors. It is easy to use, even on the phone and over the coming months will get better and better.”
Cllr Miriam Lewis, Leader of Maldon District Council comments: “The Maldon District now has the website it deserves; it will be a great asset for the District and the Tourist Information Centre."
Maldon District is the latest in a series of destinations to benefit from NVG's flexible Web-in-a-Box approach. Sites for Colchester, Southend and Saffron Walden have already been launched as part of the Essex Partnership Agreement.
