Visitors to the Epping Forest District will soon have all the resources that they need to escape the urban sprawl and unwind, opt for an active break or soak up some royal heritage following the destination's decision to opt for a new Essentials web solution from New Mind | tellUs.

Steeped in history, character and green spaces, Epping Forest district offers everything from the great outdoors and hands-on history to café culture and retail therapy. Its close proximity to London and underground connections and direct forest links also make it an ideal and relaxing country base to explore the Capital.

The Essentials solution offers a cost-effective route to web development, with built in flexibility to add further functionality as and when required.  The new responsive site will make full use of a range of content including video, audio and bold imagery to compel visitors to explore the area's heritage, culture, activities, festivals and events.  The site will promote the area's historical connections, outdoor opportunities and natural wonders.

Visitors will be able to find out more about the range of delights Epping has to offer across the towns, villages and hamlets within a surprising district.  Visitors will discover the abbey where King Harold is buried, Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge, a mansion where a Midsummer Night’s Dream was first performed, a Battle of Britain airfield still active today and the world’s oldest wooden church. Families will be spoilt for choice with journeys on a steam railway, fascination with the history of gunpowder and rockets or sheer delight at the rolling countryside along the Essex Way or the seclusion of an ancient forest. Those feeling more adventurous will discover horse riding, mountain biking or the world class Lee Valley White Water Centre offering adrenaline-pumping white water adventure. Or for the ultimate in people watching and retail therapy visitors will find fashion and designer goods with a café culture and fine dining in one of the district’s many acclaimed restaurants.
