Run of Success in Devon Continues with South Devon Project Win

Visit South Devon has appointed New Mind | tellUs to build on the success of its current site, www.visitsouthdevon.co.uk and create a new, all encompassing site to promote the area as a year-round destination.

Last year Visit South Devon merged with the Heart of Devon to form a new super Area Tourism Partnership (ATM) with a new brand identity.  A fully responsive site is now required to continue to promote the wider area and showcase the destination, with the intention of boosting the year-round tourism economy.

Built using the Tourism Essentials solution, the current version of the site has, in the client's own words, been an 'incredible success' since it went live in 2015 and is on course to reach 1.3M visitors this year.  The new site will utilise new technology and a bespoke design to showcase the best of South Devon and deliver the optimum visitor experience.

The site currently promotes 300 tourism businesses across the area.  However, there is potential to grow this exponentially by improving the site's commercial features and functionality to deliver a sustainable income stream for the DMO.

Stephanie Cherrett, Strategy Manager at Visit South Devon comments "We are delighted to be working with New Mind | tellUs again on the development of our new website. We are confident that the site will showcase all that South Devon has to offer in an engaging, responsive and visually stunning way, helping us to continue to grow tourism in the region."

This will be the fourth site that New Mind | tellUs has developed for Visit South Devon and the sixth site in the last 12 months for destinations in Devon, following hot on the heels of projects for Plymouth, Dartmouth, Visit Devon, Exeter and the English Riviera (currently in development).
