Agility Meets Affordability for the New Forest's Tourism Pro Site

New Mind | tellUs has delivered its first Tourism Pro site, www.thenewforest.co.uk for Go New Forest, the new Community Interest Company responsible for this idyllic destination.

Delivered within three months, from concept to launch, the Tourism Pro solution has proved to be the ideal platform for Go New Forest.  Featuring all of the best practice functionality expected of today's destination sites, Tourism Pro has been developed to meet the needs of smaller DMOs with more limited resources, combining agility with affordability.  

The New Forest currently receives around 13.5 million visitors each year.  The brief for the new site was to put the forest first whilst addressing the needs of visitors, the natural environment, residents and local businesses.  

The site's content plays on the New Forest's sense of history and the system established by William the Conqueror to protect and manage the woodlands and wilderness heaths.  There's no shortage of inspiration in the Things to Do pages which exploit the destination's beautiful countryside for walking, cycling, horse riding and adventure, as well as its theme parks, museums and parks and gardens. It also sets out to champion the New Forest's local distinctiveness, including its tradition for local produce which takes centre stage on the site's food and drink pages.  

New Mind | tellUs and Go New Forest have proved to be an effective team.  The client's internal team has done a great job of sourcing a range of stunning imagery which really brings the site to life.  Meanwhile the copywriting and SEO expertise provided by New Mind | tellUs has helped to fast track the project to a pre-Christmas launch.
