Introducing Monmouthshire's Epic Past and Legendary Experiences

26th April 2017

Categories: Our News

There's no shortage of ideas for things to do in the welsh county of Monmouthshire following the launch by NVG of Visit Monmouthshire's new website earlier this month.

The site, www.visitmonmouthshire.com aims to help capitalise on Wales' 2017 Year of Legends, encouraging visitors to create their own legendary experience and explore Monmouthshire's ancient landscapes, with its thousands of years of history and myth and more castles per square mile than anywhere else in the UK. The county's reputation as the food capital of Wales is also exploited, with plenty of information on everything from Michelin-starred and award winning restaurants to fantastic tea rooms and local producers.

Built for mobiles, tablets and desktops using NVG's new layouts functionality, the website features a large responsive carousel, vibrant imagery and invaluable maps, all residing within a familiar, recurring format for ease of navigation.  Dedicated sections for Monmouthshire's key events and attractions such as Caldicot Castle, Abergavenny and Chepstow entice visitors to fully explore the region, with the help of hotspot and Google maps.

NVG's content services have also been deployed, taking the burden away from the client and helping to speed up the launch process.  Existing content from the previous site has been combined with new content, imagery and videos by the team, whilst ensuring that SEO requirements are adhered to for maximum visibility.

Plans for the future include the development of an eShop which the team at NVG are currently working on.
