New Mind | tellUs is helping Enjoy Tees Valley to take their message to the world following the launch of their new site, www.enjoyteesvalley.com this week.

Enjoy Tees Valley is a new tourism service which was launched at the start of English Tourism Week to promote Tees Valley as a world-class destination.  The objective is to bring 20m visitors to the region and add £1bn to the local economy per year by 2021, creating 3000 new jobs. Tees Valley already attracts as many day visitors as its neighbouring destinations, Newcastle and Gateshead but it currently lags behind in overnight stays and national profile.

The new site has been developed by New Mind | tellUs  to boost the visitor economy and help tourists and residents to experience the best of the region as it gears up for its UK City of Culture 2025 bid.

Developed on the flexible Tourism Pro template, the site features the new Enjoy Tees Valley brand identity and has been adapted to incorporate the organisation's colour palette and chosen font.

Tees Valley Mayor, Ben Houchen comments: "We are passionate about our home and with the new Enjoy Tees Valley brand, we can capitalise on our strengths and ensure that visitors to the area get to sample more and experience more.  It's time to showcase all that we are proud of, throw open our arms and invite the world to see our world-class attractions for themselves ahead of our UK City of Culture bid."

Linda Tuttiett, Head of Culture and Tourism, Tees Valley Combined Authority comments: "Enjoy Tees Valley is just the beginning of our work to develop and promote tourism in the Tees Valley. Our area has great potential to appeal to a wide range of audiences and the website showcases the staggering range of things to do and see in the region.

There is everything from surfing and white water rafting to walking and cycling. You can visit beautiful countryside and experience world-class arts and culture all within minutes of each other. The website is a first glimpse in to Tees Valley as an exciting destination and we urge everyone to visit the website, get involved and tell the world about our brilliant attractions – you might just be surprised about what you discover."
